Nicolas Boulenger

Founder & Manager

Portrait of Nicolas Boulenger

I hold a Master's degree in Engineering from École des Ponts ParisTech and a post-graduate degree (DEA) in Business Organization. From there, my career path led me to film and communication.

After training in acting at Le Magasin, screenwriting at la Maison du Film, and production management at INA, I wrote and directed scripted content for networks such as TF1, France 2, Canal+, and TV5, as well as promotional films for UNESCO and Publicis, before co-founding ChezFilms in 2018.

Over the course of my projects, it became clear that my most significant contribution lay upstream from production, in defining a precise intent and a clear message for an aligned communication strategy. ChezFilms is the outcome of this journey: a space where I help launch or refine communication for technical or complex projects, from message development to content creation.

I am your primary point of contact and will oversee your project from start to finish.

Our Mission

ChezFilms was founded in 2018 by engineers and filmmakers to promote expertise and innovation, particularly within industry, research, and education.

We assist both individuals and organizations. Our work focuses on three levels:

1. Strategy and Message

Producing content is often a lost effort without a strong, aligned, and consistent message.

The first step, therefore, is to define a narrative strategy: to find a unique angle that can be deployed and recognized over time, without changing with each new product or project.

To be effective and maintain its impact, this message must link the journey (of an individual or institution) to a field of expertise by telling a story that connects with the target audience.

We craft this message through in-depth interviews.

2. Delivery and Public Speaking

Once the message is defined, it is essential to ensure everyone can articulate it in any situation: in public, on camera, or during an impromptu meeting with a journalist or decision-maker.

The core of our approach: while we work on the practical aspects (managing stress, presence, connecting with the audience), we believe that form ultimately follows substance. The priority is to ensure that each person understands the message and can adopt it in their own way, allowing their expression to become natural.

We refine delivery and expression through individual or group workshops.

3. Content and Distribution

The message is clear, your key people know how to deliver it... but no one knows you exist yet. To reach your audience, you must place content in their path that will resonate.

We support you in this in two ways:

  1. Full-Service Production (Turnkey)
We work with you to create a detailed brief, then handle the entire production. We draw on a vast network of talented professionals and technicians to deliver ready-to-use content. This is the traditional production model.
  2. Guided Production (Empowerment)
You want to produce your own content: social media videos, interviews, articles. We help you establish a process: what types of content, what angle, who to feature, which platforms, and what equipment for an efficient workflow. At the end of our collaboration, you are self-sufficient.
